Kelsey's Human Design

I AM: Manifesting Generator
I FEEL: Satisfied/ Frustrated
MY STRATEGY: Wait to Respond

Personality Profile: 6/2
Incarnation Cross: Left Angle Cross of Uncertainty

Introduction:

Human Design is life changing. The system helps you to recognize how you WORK. I've been studying this for a few years & since it's a relatively new philosophy system, there aren't many resources that explain the concepts clearly, however I did find an article on goop that breaks the concepts down in a super helpful way (in case you want to do your own research after reading this page).

Basically Human Design explains that all people are not created the same. We are equal, but operate differently. There are five different types of humans, & they are classified based on the way their energy flows throughout the body, & its natural function / potential superpowers. This is mostly based on the open /closed energy centers within our energetic bodies. Everyone has several places in their energetic bodies where information either comes in or goes out. Info comes in from other people via the open centers, & goes out from ourselves via the closed centers.

First, you have your Manifestors, which is about 8% of people. This is the King energy type, the type of person who speaks & things magically happen. This is because Manifestors have closed throat chakras that are directly connected to their solar plexus. Whatever they "will" from their center, they speak into existence. Since their throat centers are closed, whatever comes out from their mouths immediately influences all within their hearing.  This is important for Manifestors, since they lack the "internal motor" to get things done on their own. The livelihood of Manifestors depends on being able to influence the will of the people. At their highest vibration, they are visionary influencers. At their lowest vibration, Manifestors are manipulative leeches.

Then you have your Projectors, which is about 20% of people. These people are physical psychics whose bodies "read" the energy of others just by being in proximity to them. Their energy penetrates like a laser. These folks know what people want, need & how to make it happen, thus they make excellent advisors. However people tend to dismiss their advice if it appears unwarranted, therefore it's important for Projectors to "practice what they preach," so that folks will "see" they know what they're talking about & invite them to advise.

Then you have Generators, which is about 35% of people. These are the people who have an internal motor to get-shit-done. They are the "builders" of life. They are also the ones "putting out" the energy that is read by Projectors. They seem to have inexhaustible energy (once they find something they like to do), but when they are not doing something they like, they do it compulsively, to their own detriment. They have to learn to stop & consider before getting involved with things because if they get involved with the wrong things for the wrong reasons (people pleasing, peer pressure, etc.), they could find themselves compelled to keep going even if they want to quit, which drains their life force dangerously.

Then you have Manifestor Generators, which is about another 35% of people. These are the magical hybrids who possess the mental abracadabra of the Manifestors + the grind of the Generators. These folks understand how things are supposed to work immediately & they know what needs to be spoken into existence- yet they don't have the direct connection from the throat to the solar plexus that moves the crowds. Instead they have to build things on their own like generators do. This can be incredibly frustrating, like instantly knowing the answer to 25*123, but not being able to submit your test until you write down every single step. Because Manifesting Generators tend to understand things so quickly, having to actually follow the steps can make them feel disempowered & dim.. It's as if their minds are over there & their bodies are over here, & their lives are spent covering the distance.

Finally you have Reflectors, who are about 2% of the population. Reflectors are completely vulnerable & take in energy from others in all of their energy centers. They feel & reflect everything the collective is experiencing & can be seen as a kind of litmus test of the mental and emotional conditions of their environment.

Type:
Manifesting Generator

As you might have already guessed, you are a Manifesting Generator (MG). Manifesting Generators are the genius children (at any age) of Human Design. They are a kind of meta-human. They tend to be multi-talented, multi-faceted, quick thinking, powerful feeling, sensitive, intuitive & strong. Due to their combination of energies, they are the best of the Manifestors AND the best of the Generators. They can see what needs to happen for the collective, but because they have their own energy center (unlike true Manifestors), they are able to make it happen on their own without having to manipulate or inspire others to agree with their vision. While building their vision, Manifesting Generators might recognize they've committed their energy to something that drains them, but because they can "see through until the end," (unlike pure Generators), they are able to stop the process & shift gears much easier, to move forward into a more positive, productive direction. This gives Manifesting Generators the aura of being free-willed individuals who can't be stopped because they aren't constrained by the factors that influence most people.

While its true that Manifestor Generators are freer than the other types, they do have to overcome their own nature in order to experience the benefits. Because they have the power to manifest & they see clearly how things should go, they can forget that they don't have the power to just "make it happen," the way Manifestors do. Because they can tell that something won't work out & therefore they rarely get stuck in fruitless endeavors, they don't develop the resilience that Generators have. This leads to self-doubt because Manifestor Generators don't understand why things in real life don't happen as easily as they happen in their mind's eye. This is because they have a tendency to literally "count themselves out" as the defining factor. They don't realize that they themselves make the difference. When Manifesting Generators are young, something they might hear often is "apply yourself." Its ironic; MGs are type to whom talents & skills appear so automatically, that they struggle with struggling. They hate to...try... because they perceive the need to try as having already failed. These types require lots of understanding, encouragement & safe spaces for experimentation, so they can see recognize fundamentals as the building blocks of fun.

Self vs. Not Self:
Satisfaction vs. Frustration

In Human Design, there is a concept called Self/Not Self. This comes from the fact that Human Design is based on the open/closed centers we have in our energetic bodies. We receive energy from others as pressure within our open centers, & we release energy as relief from our closed centers. Most Manifesting Generators have open centers around their head / third-eye area, so they are easily influenced mentally if they don't take the time to "check in" with themselves to calibrate with the truth of how they really feel. MG's tend to have closed energy centers around their solar plexus area, so that is where their authentic self resides, in their gut. When a MG acts from their own energy centers (tummy/emotions), they feel satisfied. They feel like they are being "true to themselves." When an MG acts from a place of being influenced from someone else's energy center (mind), they feel frustrated. They feel like they are "not being true to themselves."  Think about it in terms of a motor that has an important function within a mechanism; when MGs act in accordance with their own energy, their own world turns smoothly (satisfaction). When they act in accordance with someone else's energy, their world goes haywire (frustration).

Strategy:
Wait to Respond

This is why Human Design offers "strategies," for each type, so that they can optimize their own energy. For MGs, that strategy is called WAIT TO RESPOND, based on the understanding that information coming in from the outside world through open energy centers feels like "pressure." Say for instance, a friend says, "Hey can you go to to the store with me?" Remember that as a MG, your authentic responses that cannot be affected by outside energies reside in your gut. So this might literally occur as the feeling/thought, "I don't feel like going anywhere right now." But because the energy of the other person is coming into your head, there's pressure. If you're living outside your design, you might say "Yes," immediately to this person just to relieve the pressure coming into your head, even though its opposite of your feeling. And then let's say you go anyway, but then you're frustrated with yourself because you are spending your time in a way you do not want to spend your time. And then let's say while you are gone, your most favorite movie that you've been thinking about comes on the TV, & it rains a bit, & you get home right at the end of the movie & the rain, & you realize you could have spent your day exactly the way you wanted  (watching your favorite movie & also watching the rain), but you didn't. And now you're even more frustrated.

Now, operating within your design would look like this: Someone asks you to to go the store. You don't feel like going, or you're ambivalent. You remember that within your design, you should wait to respond. You also remember that during your waiting-to-respond-time, anything that doesn't elicit a YES, is a No. So perhaps you say, "Um, I'll let you know in 15 minutes, let me check on something first." And then you go somewhere alone & check within your gut. You ask yourself, "Do you wanna go to the store?" And yourself says, "naw. "And maybe you ask yourself, "Why?" And yourself says, "I don't know... I just don't." And you honor yourself without needing any clearer of an answer than that. Fifteen minutes later you tell the person, "I appreciate the offer but I don't feel like going to the store right now. But thanks so much for inviting me. Please invite me again." And then the person says ok or whatever, but you've honored yourself so you feel satisfied. And then while sitting at home, your favorite movie comes on & it starts raining & you curl up with a cup of tea & watch your movie & you feel so... good that you honored yourself & you were rewarded with the most amazing, comfortable moment in time. And it's just the best day.

Or maybe you say, "l'll let you know in 15 minutes," & you go in your room and you really don't want to go...but you look at the pile of laundry in the corner, & you remember you don't have any toothpaste... & it dawns on you that you've been needing to go to the store to get detergent & toothpaste but you've been a lazy ass... & you're still being a lazy ass... & you're filled with gratitude for friends who ask you go to the store at the perfect time. And you think to yourself, life loves me so much, it always sends me the best motivation right when I need it. YES, I do want to go to the store. So 15 minutes later you say, "Yes, I'll go! Thanks for asking!" And when you come home, you catch the tail end of your movie & you're grateful. And the rain has stopped so you can walk to the laundromat without getting wet & you're grateful for that too.

The point is, as an MG, the why of things in your life is more important than the what. When you're in alignment with your own feelings, everything that happens to you is happening with you & for you. When you're in alignment with the thoughts & direction of others, everything that happens to you is happening without you or against you. Therefore you must wait a bit to respond to anything, even if you think you know immediately what you want. You must "check in" with your deepest truth even for the most mundane decisions, because you have to separate your own energy from others. MGs live a magical dance with the universe, where coincidences, serendipity & magic are constant friends. However, these things are highly personal & require a trusting relationship with the Source of your life as the only authority that matters.

Wait to respond. Check in with you. Make a habit of saying, "I'll get back to you. I'll let you know. Sounds good, but let's confirm later." People tend to view MGs as being flighty or flaky because it appears as though their feelings/desires change from one moment to the next. An MG will say, "I'd love to go on that trip two weeks from now!" & then cancel on you the day of. It's not that their feelings changed, its just that they didn't check in with themselves before saying Yes! to see what their feelings were. There's a huge difference. If you're not operating within your design, you could go through life feeling like you need to be more "stable," or "consistent," so that others will think highly of you. However if you're operating within your design, you realize that you have no idea of knowing if you're going to want to do things ahead of time because you honor the fact that your most authentic life flows from your feelings, & you don't know how you feel until you're in the current moment. Therefore you become, comfortably consistent in saying, "I don't know yet, I'll let you know later."

MGs live on leading emotional edge of life, & they have to go where their wave takes them. No excuses, no promises, just keeping it real about who they really are.

Personality Profile:
6/2

Personality Profile: In terms of Human Design, your personality profile is 6/2. I'm not going to cover it in this report but I have linked a really dope article here that covers it better than I could have.

Incarnation Cross:
Left Angle of Uncertainty

Every human has a specific purpose, or function within society. Within Human Design, these are called "Incarnation Crosses." There are over 100 different Incarnation Crosses. Based on your birth info, yours is called Left Angle of Uncertainty. Because there is not a lot of information available on the specific incarnation crosses, I've found its effective to pull tarot cards to help define the energy. There are two sides to the Incarnation Crosses, called before enlightenment & after enlightenment. This essentially explains how your incarnation cross can be a curse (before enlightenment) that yields a blessing (after enlightenment).

Before Enlightenment: Seven of Cups, The Tower, Strength
After Enlightenment: Ace of Wands, Three of Cups, King of Swords

The crux of your role into society will be to learn to own your emotions & shield yourself from the emotions that are not yours, so that you can keep what belongs to you, & return to others what belongs to them.

Before enlightenment, you are very sharp & quick witted, but you hold it back because you know the strength of your words can tear folks apart. You appear to change a lot (phases), but it is only because you've always been interested in finding the essence of that which does not change. You journey through impermanence on a quest for permanence. Sometimes people mistake your go-with-the-flow-ness for weakness, not realizing that lava flows just as easily as water. If someone triggers an eruption, you spew a flow that incinerates with white hot rage. This anger is often rooted in feeling misunderstood. You are not weak, you are incredibly strong, but also flexible, changeable, like chicken wire.

After enlightenment, you've learned that if folks don't understand you (because maybe they've never met anyone like you before), you have to use your mouth to teach them, rather than chew their head off & swallow them whole. Being more patient with the ignorance of others helps you to also be more willing to explore the undiscovered parts of yourself. You learn to ask yourself questions, & unearth the treasures of you. This works as a mirror: the more you are patient with others, the more you are patient with yourself, which leads to being curious about yourself, which gives others permission to become more curious about themselves. Basically,  your becoming an open book inspires folks to learn to read.

And then, because your own uncertainty has vanished, you can so clearly see when people are projecting their issues onto you. Occasionally, you have to remind a select few that you are lava.

Thank you!

This concludes your Human Design Report! Please let me know if this information resonates with you, or if you have any questions. I am happy to answer, or point you in the direction of more clarity & information.

With gratitude,
