Y'all, it's time to do something a little different. It's eclipse season, which is a portal from before (can't turn back) to what's next (not there yet), & the meantime is the only time there is. I like to read (cards, books, the back of shampoo bottles) when I'm waiting, because it helps the time go by. One of the books I'm reading right now is called Lisey's Story by Stephen King. In the book, the main character learns from her husband how to teleport herself from this world where "everything's-the-same," into a fantastical alternate reality, the stuff of both dreams & nightmares. During a dangerous moment in this other world, she & her husband become momentarily stuck. They try to flip back home & they can't, because she's holding an object from her past & it's weighing them down. Her husband tells her to drop it, she does, & boom (just like that!), they materialize back in their bedroom.
And that's pretty much how eclipse season works, where getting from where we are to where we want to be is as simple (& also as complicated) as letting things go. Leaving the past behind. Being willing to drop the weight for the greater good. Which sounds good- but the question becomes, where do we put the things that keep us from moving forward?
Answer: we pass it on. The curious thing about emotional baggage is that somehow, the same experiences that weigh us down have the ability to lift others up. The very stories we are tired of telling are exactly what folks need to hear.
That's why I'm giving you the first invite to Tarot Your Story. We are going to use the structure of the tarot to chronicle our own Human Bible chapters, so that we can:
1) Finally move on &
2) Show folks following in our footsteps that we made a way.
